Women Inspiring Women to Flourish Together is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions to WIW/GTT are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. WIW was incorporated in May 2016, by Janet Viers, to provide Life skills training and assistance to women and girls of all nationalities, with a special focus on our at-risk populations.
WIW got its humble beginning in 2009. Meetings were held at different restaurants or someone’s home. God spoke to Janet in January of 2016, that "it was time to take WIW to the next level."
WIW needed a set place, date, and time for meetings.
Janet shared her vision with her husband and pastor and they gave their blessings. She also shared her vision with her prayer partners. At that time they were sister Kaye Davis and her daughter Johnetta Viers. She asked them to pray that God would direct her to the right place and connect her with the right ladies for the vision.
God is amazing!
Through her daughter’s connection with Cupcakes and Pearls, a mentoring ministry for girls ages 7-17, owner Nikki Johnson and her assistant Shoshannah Anderson, God opened the door for WIW to hold meetings on the second Friday night of the month in the Decatur Mall.
Our first meeting was held Friday, March 11, 2016.
